Destroyer and Thief needs to be nerfed to Vandal's level and I'm not joking. Vandal is supposed the be the "movement" shell but everything costs heat and traverses very little ground without a core or implants. Solo or Rook and just check em for shit and leave, Maintenance also has tool carts where you might find some good mods. Airfield in Outpost is guaranteed, as are the armory rooms as >>566358480 mentioned. Pinwheel has quite a few guaranteed arms lockers (about 2 a wing I think) but obviously a risky zone to try to pillage. As Rook, Secured Resources on Perimeter/Dire Marsh are basically free, and those can have the blue unique weapons, so not great for mods but those are serviceable weapons.
I've been trying to just be friendly in solos and people are surprisingly receptive. So long as you just reach out first with a friendly prox chat and make it clear you know where they are and aren't shooting them, it's thus far not failed to get someone to be chill. I swear there’s some sort of “loot curve” in the game. What I mean is, the game and matchmaking isn’t really random, it’s based on a playtime curve that depends on certain milestones for this season. So by the end of the season, for a higher levelled account, you’re going to be finding more keys, better squad mates, better drops and an easier time in Cryo.

Getting to level 5 usually takes either other teams fucking up getting their own clearances, less teams spawning in or you killing another team and yoinking their tags. The only reason you should leave your spawn at the start is if you get unlucky and have like level 1 clearance and only half the bar filled up. In that case you just have to run out to Control to look for loose tags, kill the surplus amount of commanders or try to setup an ambush for a team that might choose to walk out.
Playing solo Recon on Outpost with extremely high prime recovery honestly feels like cheating. It's kind of disgusting how good she is.
