She convinces people by opening her heart to them, or appealing to Tenjian. I don't buy her being able to swap between such different personalities on the fly. Her Septima theme is turning dreams into reality, and she says that it's her Septima that allows her to be a master infiltrator, not her skills.

Some bosses react with anger, others shock, and some fear. Furthermore, bosses will have different hurt timings and invincibility frames to characterize them. Generally, girls have longer pain animations than guys, and younger characters have longer pain animations than older ones.Nova doesn't have one in the first game, though he still gets invincibility frames and voices his displeasure. I guess he's just built differently. He does get one in the third game where he screams and starts panting as he clutches his side, indicating he can't hold all the power of the Azure Striker. He does not have pain anims in his second phase, however. ZED has a quick one where he shouts in shock, and then brushes it off like it's nothing. He's right back to smirking well before the invincibility frames are over, because that's the type of person he is. Asimov gets a badass one where he falls to one knee and then transitions it to an attack. Zonda gets a longer one where she curls in on herself. She doesn't scream out like ZED and Nova do, but tries to hold it in. I think it's just to make you feel bad. There is no ryona appeal to it. INTI dodge a bullet there.

From the discussion in prior thread, it seems like the only people who use terms that group adepts and nonadepts as one people are Gunvolt, Quinn, Zonda, Desna, and rarely Xiao. Gunvolt does it the most by far. Xiao does it twice, but usually, he will say "adepts and nonadepts" when referring to "everyone" rather than just "people." This is common among most GV characters, because mentally, they see the two groups as separate, even when they are proponents of coexistence. Zonda uses the inclusive terms surprisingly often for the leader of an adept supremacist group. She won't say adepts and nonadepts, she'll just say people when applicable. Desna doesn't distinguish at all; everyone is just "people" to her. Just subtle storytelling and characterization you don't expect from an anime game that gets lost in translation. So what do you think?
