Gekkomon's design looks quite good i thought having a pepe digimon would be sick but in the show i kinda hate his lack of personality and the gloves and boots look dumbchiropomon i kept thinking was petitmamon the first few times i saw it . Its a sort of a good design but also i think it looks a bit too similar to several digimon we already have, he has grown on me since the show wolvermon lacks originality and looks like a combination of prairiemon and gargomon, like a character from a nickelodeon parody of digimon. I do give credit to their very original archetypal role in the story though, we havent had an early champion who cleans up for others like that before and that new story archetype is entertaining . I wonder if they made wolvermon kind of goofy and mid design wise on purpose to let the hero and digi jesus shine harder

They are going to end the show with all this cool world building and having done very little with it which would only work if they are doing a sequel. Epulse has not been explored well enough as a concept yet, you can do so much with that concept ( like argue its implicit existence in earlier seasons) . Cold hearting is interesting but they could have done it differently. is the last boss gonna be a big ice digimon? ( Ice was the most underutilized element in this franchise until after like 2010 ) I thought maybe it was a refrence to how ice works in william gibson novels like neuromancer and count zero . its a good way to make digimon a threat to humans in a pseudo violent way but the aesthetics of it are goofy. Meramon eats you to turn you to ice? huh? That is too specific to backport to the rest of the franchise compared to epulse and it makes me think there is just some ice demon hiding somewhere waiting for pizza day . Unsure why they didnt do something more digital or glitchy for human consumption. NightChirop immediately turning into a side character was pretty annoying. This digimon design should have supported stingmon esq activities and spotlighting. Thats what i'm saying about makoto too , he sux so his digimon sux, its like he is the one making everything too filler-y and slice of lifey. I liked the first 2 episodes and the tactics arc was good they wrote the tactics characters better than the main cast
