So I've seen you gays argue here about whether it's better to buy partners or character dupes from the shop. It's never been obvious to me which was better, so I went ahead and coded up a monte carlo simulation to test it. I simulated accounts pulling 30 characters E2+partner, with one strategy spending moment (shop currency) on partners and the other spending it on character dupes. The results I got show that the system is fairly balanced. The 'buy partners' system ends with more moment, so that's marginally better. I also didn't take into account the extra moment you get from pulling maxed 5* dupes, which somewhat makes it better to pull on the character banner (and buy partners). It's a pretty tiny difference though so just do whatever you want desu

The best thing about Sortie is it gets rid of the friction attached to mixing epiphanies in Chaos.Take Creation and Destruction. II and IV are effectively two completely different Tiphera cards that were arbitrarily linked to the same card.
