The game could have done more to make you feel you dragged her out to the hotel yourself and neglected her over the other girls, it mostly plays out without your input. Dunno, maybe I'm just being unreasonable because another game impressed me pulling off that bittersweet CF drama in a way that made you feel involved, the replay might give me a different perspective.

Ah-young ends up blurting out her needs by the end of chapter 5, she desperately longs for a family, someone to be there for her unconditionally, nothing less will do. You falter for one second at the finish line and you're locked out of her good ending.

After trying Dating 4 Girls for a bit I understand why there's barely any discussion for it. I'm two chapters in and I know practically nothing about the girls. Other than Andy there's only been less than 1 minute conversations with the other girls. For two chapters I did expect them to try and develop the girls a lot more, but the story so far is more focused on NPCs and the game world being destroyed. Compared to the Storytaco games, choices have been almost nonexistent so far. Just slapping cute girls into it and having them do slightly suggestive things isn't really enough to build an interest.How do these games manage to get thousands of positive reviews on Steam?

One thing when you play a game you don't like but nothing really sticks with you like Roommates, but man, this one had a strong start with a lot of promise on casting and production alone and that's so frustrating. Yes, I am angry about Li Yunsi, but there are other structural problems.

In Korea we have Storytaco basically propping up the industry with it's heavy output of games. Japan doesn't have a hit FMV game to kickstart the market in Japan, and they don't have a studio willing to pump out a bunch of games back to back either. Without a tentpole game or consistency the Japanese FMV market is just going to whither away before it can get started.
