>>566316826AetherRoom really must have meant a lot to you to hallucinate nonexistent shills existing despite people telling you the had no interest in AeR. I'm glad it got canceled. Why aren't you?
>>566316993why are you pretending like /aicg/ doesn't exist? that's where the people who just care about chatbots went, that's where they arewhy would someone wait for a co-writing model and scripting to use chatbots? that's retarded and ignores the length of time it took for these things to come into existenceby their arrival, all there was WERE people who actively wanted to use novelai for text gen who care about chatbots, everyone else was already long gone
>>566317732Why do three separate scripts for chatbotting with NAI exist if everyone went to /aicg/? That kind of disproves your assertion. That the scripts exist shows that people want to chatbot with NAI.Square that circle for me.

>>566318029>Why do three separate scripts for chatbotting with NAI exist if everyone went to /aicg/? That kind of disproves your assertion.no, it doesn't??>That the scripts exist shows that people want to chatbot with NAI.it proves, of novelai's users, that some want to chatbot with NAI, which is my point.the usecase of chatbotting is already fulfilled by services and frontends that have existed longer than aetherroom, and people who just want to use chatbots are and have been using them, like they were before aetherroom was announcedi guess you're welcome to prove that, of everyone using chatbots, the majority are using the three chatbotting usecripts specifically for novelai with a model locked to the $25 tier... that didn't exist until this year. that would prove that the people who want to chatbot with NAI aren't pre-existing NAI fans
>>566290340The situation was probably a tug of war with just as many factors pushed them to keep Aetherroom alive as there were reasons to kill it.On one side>Every chat service is censored, rudimentary, mismanaged, or all three the bar is low.>Chat runs fine on older, cheaper models, so the cost of entry isn’t huge.>You could launch something mediocre and still be a major player. On the other side>There are already hundreds of shit chat services cluttering the space.>Most of them are just character card and proxy front ends.>The existing user base is mostly story and image generation, not chat‑focused.>They reportedly wanted a “finished,” low maintenance product so they wanted to put a absolutely perfect first foot down.>It was never clear if or why it needed to be a separate service in the first place.Could they have forced it out the door? Probably. But the real question is why bother? Especially when most of the work they did for Aetherroom ended up feeding directly into NAI anyway. And because I like tank allegories here’s the story of Panzer IV vs. VK 30.01(H).Germany, pre‑WWII and early‑war, wanted a heavy infantry support tank with solid armor and a short, punchy 75mm gun. The funny part is that the Panzer IV already was that, just classified as a medium tank. But they were fixated on the idea of a heavy tank filling that role, so they started developing the VK 30.01(H) basically a slightly larger Panzer IV.By 1942, the VK project only made sense if it could mount weapons the Panzer IV couldn’t. But the Panzer IV was already being upgraded with the long 75mm anti‑tank gun, and the Tiger program was underway. The VK had no niche left. It was just redundantAetherroom was the VK. NAI was the Panzer IV. One already existed, already worked, and already had a clear role. The other was a heavier, more complicated version of something they didn’t actually need.
>>566319138Why are you pretending like you don't understand what everyone means? You claimed EVERYONE into chatbotting uses /aicg/. I showed you that isn't the case.
It's also weird how you're still bringing up AeR. It got canceled, bro. I never cared about it. You do you; I'll stick with NAI and SillyTavern, and you can keep pining for it to get resurrected.
>>566319496nope, i said "the people who ->just<- care about chatbots" after correcting your earlier assertion of "anyone who actually cares about chatbots" to "anyone who actually cares about chatbots yet still wants to use NovelAI beyond image gen", which is a very specific difference you left out.i'm not sure why the correction is annoying you this much, you seem to not care one bit about all who don't fit the bill of "wants to use NovelAI beyond image gen" in the first place so the correction should hardly matter to you
>>566320040In other words, you're just being a pedant for the sake of being a pedant. Why?
>>566295890Decent odds the skeleton of Aetherroom is repurposed as a third mode for text gen. Probably loses some of the fancy bells and whistles, but we get a ‘chat’ option. Might actually be what finally drives them to work on images inside text since people really like to stare at the picture of the character they are raping/getting raped by.
>>566320117i just told you, it's a specific differencemine acknowldges that chatbotting primarily exists outside of novelai and yours conflates the chatbot interest with nai userscripts and an nai co-writing model.
>Working on an ultraviolent "parody of urban America" kind of scenario in AIRL where the MC's main goal is to survive, kick ass and get rich.>Ask gemini to generate the factions, using inner city stereotypes, including gangs, cops, citizens.>First faction it generates is "Watermelon Warriorz - Black gangbangers who blast trip hop from lowriders and sling fentanyl-laced fried chicken."I was not expecting that, to be honest.
>>566320385I hope you have fun with the scripts; otherwise, if you had no interest in them, being a pedant about this makes no sense.

When will the new imagegen model arrive? Is it getting abandoned? We need an insider to show off screenshots of the behind the scenes chaos.
>>566311403Given how more and more companies are demanding mandatory ID and sites like Chub having to restrict NSFW and NSFL, I can see the angle that maybe they didn't want to deal with that, given their focus on being freely hush and hush NSFW.
>>566323496Yeah, that's trueThe target audience for chatbot users aren't exactly quiet
>>566332957Panty…
Oh my
In the older NAI models I remember author's notes being fucked because the way it worked was it took whatever you wrote in there and force inserted it three lines up from the end of your current context. Apparently in Xialong the way the AI reads it is entirely different, it's like a whole secondary system prompt so you can write prose in it and it just works. Since I found out I've been writing random shit in that box to see how it changes my outputs. It's good fun.
>>566332957Good cornholin'!
You cannot win.
Anyone remember Z-Image? It was a strong natural language local image generator released a few months back. I tried it and shared it here, decided it was promising but not useful for me, since it couldn't do anime properly.Well, someone released a proper anime fine-tune of it:https://huggingface.co/SeeSee21/Z-AnimeIt's pretty good. This is natural language first, tags only optional at the end for spice if you want, not needed at all. Runs about the same speed as SDXL local does. The big problem right now: Heavily undertuned on NSFW. They admit this in the huggingface model. It doesn't do genitals or penetration well.BUT, now that there's a proper anime tune of it, it's probably not too long until we see Z-Anime tunes popping up on civit and the other usual places for NSFW. I've been having fun with it, I use it for basically anything besides NSFW instead of my old SDXL local, which has become porn-only.It's been a very long time since any good local imagegen news came out, so I'm looking forward to tunes of this one instead of the 10000th Illustrious/Pony/n00b tune

That's a very weird cancellation, because it's never been easier than it is today to make software. I bet it's legal issues. That's why I never consider quitting my day job and working on my front-end more to publish it>make uncensored chat adventure gaem>suddenly get called a pedo by 100+ countries all with different laws on if text sex is legal or not, sued unless you have lawyersHonestly making the thing is the EASY part, it's being able to offer zero data retention, no logging that would be hard legally. And even if you prevail, you're fighting lawsuits accusing you of faciliating csam every day, it's gotta be exhausting.
>>566443234They didn't want a forever beta product, they wanted a game that wouldn't ever need updates. Kuru wanted it to hook up to VR and make it so you could climb mountains with your waifu. Chub is already banned in several nations and restricts what you see, requiring a VPN for a decent chunk of the world. And that is without getting into payment processors PayPal already hates NAI. Being associated with a chat bot would invite more scrutiny.Maybe when the tides change and NSFW isn't so looked down upon they'll revisit the idea, but right now its a shit fest.

Fresh prompt: https://prompts.forthisfeel.club/7916>My life has been thrown into complete chaos. Now, I'd basically gotten used to being a lonely gay guy occasionally performing heterosexuality for the outside world. It was rather sad, but I'd gotten used to it. But recently, for some ungodly reason, the most beautiful men I could imagine have just been throwing themselves at me, and I, a nervous introvert, got scared and ran every time, suspecting foul play. And foul play was indeed involved. But when a young man with angel wings and a bow stands in front of my door, I realize that my life might never be the same again...Alright, made it in under the line with this one, posting on Sunday. >>566510431>out of the other NAI models is anything before Kayra worth using?Nope. Krake and Euterpe are the two previous NAI flagship models, and both are massive dogshit. 2k max context, too.
>>566495307Without fucking with sliders it will feel like a side-grade from vanilla GLM. Pump up the temp a bit and it will feel like Kayra but without the mental retardation. It follows the style of your prompt/lorebook A LOT so you have to think before using something ai-generated with it. It's quite literally garbage in, garbage out.It works well with ATTG or any [ Instruction: ] kind of shit so starting with a blank prompt generates good results if you detail what you want. And with a good preset, it's really, really creative. I don't think anyone has said much about this, and I don't know how most users have been using it, but I was using Xialong to generate dialogues for a project I was working on, and between scenes, it would start explaining the characters' backstories and making family dramas on the fly that made me want to stop and read a story about it just to see how it ended.God dammit this captcha is being specially obnoxious today.
>>566510431The llama model was a bit balls
>>566510431I'm guilty of enjoying Euterpe with the cursed 100,000 step text_adventures.txt module

>>566525075>I miss modules thoughI miss CFG. I'd probably still use Kayra if it still had CFG over twink dragon, at least until it reaches 8k context and the brat can take over with a reasonable window, but alas.Wonder why they removed it. Can't be more compute-heavy than erato or xiaolong at 8k context and 13 beaks.

I'm making a harness for pen and paper games. Can be pointed at any model of your choosing. Do you think it's punching above its model weight?

>>566491253>"I may be out of arrows, but not out of options."In 'in bars', 'in' should be 'to'.Huh, no halo? How is Ascanius supposed to deliver on the long-term love? Just fake it until he makes it, or does he have some love equivalent of a cyanide capsule to fall in love with his target? Did he have a backup option in case he, too, was turned down?Heck, how are these cupids managing to go undetected? Someone running around with a bow and arrow is sure to have been noticed by now.In your Lorebook, I'd insert a 'had' in 'love better'.This isn't exactly going to fix the issue he was having at work with people getting on his case about not having a girlfriend, though, unless something about that was also set up to try to engineer opportunities to fire an arrow.I bet a more third-person view of this would be funny, just the growing sense of despair as he keeps running away and there's fewer and fewer arrows in the quiver.

They're angels, but not Angels, I guess.>How is Ascanius supposed to deliver on the long-term love? The way I see it, as essentially a love elemental, he's capable of feeling love for anyone. Like the arrows, but self-targeted. Alternatively, perhaps cupids are selected for jobs based on them already being somewhat simpatico with the target just in case it goes to pot.>Heck, how are these cupids managing to go undetected? While I didn't expand on it, my idea is that cupids on jobs aren't detectable, but if you fuck up, you're stuck on Earth for real and now actually visible to humans so you can do your job. The question of how they hide his true nature and the like are left to the further development of the story.>This isn't exactly going to fix the issue he was having at workTo some degree, that being an issue is partially worsened by him not actually having anyone else in his life and it feeding into insecurities. With him now having someone, it might become a lot less of a problem.>I bet a more third-person view of this would be funny, just the growing sense of despair as he keeps running away and there's fewer and fewer arrows in the quiver. It must be a pretty terrifying concept, having this eternal failure scenario that basically never happens and you really, really shouldn't fail like that, and just seeing yourself creeping closer and closer towards it.

Anons, why does claude mog gemini? gemini... writes like some.. I don't even know how to describe it. It writes like a shitty fanfiction writer, giving you edgy descriptions or something, trying to make you cool or something. Claude is good at writing shit, it describes kills and fights and confrontations properly, neutrally. Gemini does this.. I don't even know, like girlboss shit regardless of sex even if you're a guy. Like someone who doesn't know aggression. And it's too fucking literal. It is assistantslopped.

>>566594619You're welcome.I suppose you're not wrong there, it just occurred to me how odd it was to see an angel with wings but without a halo.Huh, alright. Though that has to cause quite a bit of heavenly logistics issues to assign the cupids just right in the apparently basically never-before-seen fail case of running out of arrows.A growing amount of people mysteriously met their other half at an archery range.True, annoyance is in how things are perceived, but it is stated as something that really picked up the current month, not long before he started having 'success'. Though why Ascanius never targeted a coworker might be a bigger question. Maybe he has stronger views on office romance?Seems like the sort of thing for something like a ditzy cupid story. It's not her fault she's running out of arrows, she passed the accuracy tests and all, she just keeps getting distracted at the last moment and missing! What's a cupid to do?

Before she was getting confused because I told her to ban both purple prose and staccato prose and she was adamantly convinced that she must use one or the other. And since she's a modern model she can roll dice with tool calling and build the narrative around the result.Just 7 more years until Infinite Zork is real real.

>>566660316>that has to cause quite a bit of heavenly logistics issues to assign the cupids just right in the apparently basically never-before-seen fail case of running out of arrows.Maybe it also helps with performance, making sure the cupids have some affection for the target and want to make sure they do a good job and help them find love. Though it might be a problem where you'd have some cupids intentionally throwing their arrows away and going "oooh gosh guess I gotta snuggle up with them now".>Though why Ascanius never targeted a coworker might be a bigger question.I imagine with Nick actively going out and looking for people to date, that would be the most natural place to start, especially since he seems to keep doing it despite running away from the last one. I figure they might have a bit of a rule where workplace romance is discouraged for the usual reasons of it just being a messy thing.
