The problem with Senna support and the bad rep she gets is that she`s designed to outscale almost everything she goes up against, which by definition buckbreaks her adc, who oftentimes becomes the 3rd wheel passenger princess.

The problem with ADC Senna in my experience is that your support usually assumes that you're a filled support main (And now there's literally no way for them to check if you are, because of the champ select anonymity) and pick something that either doesn't work with her but synergizes with the rest of the team or draft plain dogshit like Full AP Karma/Seraphine or Lux, bonus if they get a waveclear item as their first

The thing isn't that Void Staff doesn't make Katarina do damage. The thing is that you have the shield from Shieldbow, the magic shield and HP from Kaenic, the shield from Yauso's passive and his windwall, and still some average resistance even if theoretically considering what magic resist is left after the 40% penetration. That's a lot of extra HP still.
Hypothetically, I think if Katarina went for that weird hybrid build, she might've been able to kill you.

For soloq the most OP thing you can do to climb as ADC is read the map (champs, potential fights breaking out because of your x teammate's movement, objectives coming up) and try to farm as much gold as possible. Don't just sit mid and soak, greed in sidelanes and both jungles. You will quickly learn the limits of greeding.
