When they added flying it felt like a QoL but you still can go back down and enjoy the tiny bits of local eorzean life. Meanwhile expansion maps are usually just massive open areas with 1-2 aetherytes. Bring back corridors and maze like structures that still make flying meaningful but helps map designers design a map with life.

It was always done by body blocking or tricking the AI into focusing on an invulnerable but technically low armor/hp character. Raids they should have figured out by now, honestly. UW, DOA, and the factions elite missions were good starting ideas, and I don't know how they failed to properly iterate on those ideas after like 20 years
