I can't blame for other champs going to botlane. In midlane you are an easy target for the jungler if you are a dashless champ, in toplane you can literally be prevented from laning and remain weak side. In botlane you can at least coordinate two players with picks that peel each other, and almost every pick will scale faster than an ADC. In fact, why aren't we playing other things beside ADCs? Just lately APCs are more common and accepted.

If you're up close however and knowing they're about to use an ability, you try to indicate to the enemy your intention on where you want to go/escape, and immediately bounce off that direction/dodge, the less likely path you take for a dodge better chance for you to actually dodge it. Running away and trying to dodge a skillshot which you dont know when its coming, imagine trying to draw the shape of a christmas tree when you start from the top, basically making as much distance but constantly switching left/right, it's the hardest one to anticipate and catch with a skillshot. Last thing worth mentioning, if you're running and showing them you're trying to dodge a skill, its likely they will toss it at the last possible moment where it feels almost guaranteed for them to land it.
