Ap4 hive guards did not make the game harder. In fact, if you were already good at shooting their armpits and flanking, they were easier than ever to kill. The problem was the knock on effect of bullet sentries and the patriot exosuit being hard countered by a chaff unit. Granted, bullet sentries could still "work", but the moment one locked into shooting a guard, the sentry would waste all its ammo and become useless. It demonstrated that arrowhead balance by vibes alone and do not thoroughly test their changes. A fact known by us nerds, but was made plainly obvious to all the normies.

I've noticed that maxigun (and probably other machine guns to a lesser degree) is heavily impacted by the terrain. If you are in a town or megacity you have a lot of flat ground with enemies all on the same level. Then you can just "sweep" them all very effectively by firing in arcs from left to right. But as soon as hills etc are introduced this is impossible and effectiveness plummets because you have to actually track enemies in x and y axis.

They seems to be dodging somewhat too and flank you.In high difficulty. It's not just spam of heavies. It's wave of small guys sibling at you and heavies. At least on bugs. It's most likely sub contractor studios work. But if they keep this up. By end of the year. Game can be quite difficulty without any modifiers or Enemies that insta gib you from far away.
