gauges tick according to the season, when you're in a zone in p3
if you're in dog room, then dog increases, and tiger increases. if tiger and dog are already gaugefucked, there is no need to pay attention to the passive tick, the dog's chain attack won't change anything, and you just need to worry about keeping bird's gauge alive.

there are three gauges in Kaling's fight, one, for each of the bosses
>DOG = purple gauge/yellow threads (Summer)
>BIRD = yellow gauge/red threads (Autumn)
>TIGER = blue gauge/green threads (Spring)
Taking a hit from dog/yellow threads increases dog's gauge, and decreases tiger's
Taking a hit from bird/red threads increases bird's, and decreases dog's
Taking a hit from tiger/green threads increases tiger's, and decreases bird's
Should any of these gauges max out OR empty, then you LOSE A LOT OF WILLPOWER, and the gauge becomes locked. aka, it's fucked. Also you lose the associated buff (Dog: like 5 or 10% Final Damage, Bird: One time revive, Tiger: like, a cleanse to reverse controls in p2 or some dumb shit who cares)
When you run out of willpower, you LOSE THE GAME

The map is divided into sectors for the associated perils

When you sit in a room, you will PASSIVELY gain/lose gauge, based on the associated peril. i.e: sitting in dog room, means you gain dog, and lose tiger.

Discord and feelings was a major contributor to this. Nobody socializes anymore because something as simple as GG can get you banned so everyone just holes up in their own little shitcord servers with their own little cliques and if you're not part of that you're playing solo. Even in guilds it's pretty much the same thing.

I'm noticing a lot of these class guides don't give rotations for mobbing. Do you just use your burst off CD and what ever your main skill is as filler? It makes sense to me but I also feel like I'm wasting my "burst" if I use it when mobbing.

Even the owner of chronos says that no trade has massively reduced the amount of bots the server has to deal with and made dealing with the smaller amount of bots in the game is much more manageable.

If you're game gas 10,000 bots for example, it's hard to go around banning them all before they spring back up again, it's a never ending game of whack-a-mole where you can't ban them faster than they are being created.

You ban a botter once on an ironman server, they realise they just wasted so much time only to be banned and lose it all, so many won't'return.

If you play on an economy server, you can safely buy botted gold without your account being put at risk, giving botters a financial incentive to ramp up their botting behaviour for more profit, if a botters account gets banned on an economy/trade server, the impact isn't so bad, because they likely have another 20 accounts that survived, on an economy server botters spread their wealth across multiple accounts so that any banned accounts make a minimal impact in their operations.

Ironman servers only incentive to bot is for personal progress, there is no financial incentive to bot on an ironman server since their is nothing to tell to other players, the reason botters love economy so much is because it can make them ALOT of money with very little risk.

So basically yes, bots will always exist, but it's the volume that really makes a game or ruins it, on ironman a small amount of bots might exist and many of them will eventually get caught and lose everything, the gms will have a much easier time dealing with bots on ironman, but on an economy server you will have a high volume of bots that directly impact your own personal enjoyment of the game by devaluing your meso gains and devaluing your items.

Ah makes sense. I botted on my main account in FFXIV for years and years, sometimes days on end. Mostly just leveling classes/professions. I only got banned because I'm 98% sure a guild member reported me. I just made another account and started playing again but it was never the same. I never felt such a terrible feeling as seeing that permanent ban notification/email. I tired a few times over the years to appeal the ban but was never successful. After that I vowed to never mess around like that again.

There's a distinction in the ToS. Some classes can quite literally afk farm by putting a rock on your keyboard. That kind of "botting" is more of a gray area and from experience I can tell you that literally nothing will happen. They will occasionally whisper you and white room you if you grind for 8+ hours in a day, but if you're checking occasionally then you will never get banned from it. Lots of big guilds tend to kick you for it though since a lot of people view it as unfair.
Most braindead bots get banned on sight (think AHK), like the ones that abuse jump down mechanics to re-align in certain maps. Cool MDP based bots exist, but you'll only ever see them in interactive, where they are mostly there to farm meso.

Lie detectors just give you an annoying mini game you have to complete. The whole purpose was to disturb the true afk farmers and AHK-like bots. The game's own anti-hack isn't very good at picking up botting at all and is only there to prevent process tapping hacks.

On that note, despite what others might say about spanish slaves farming on your account, they very much still exist, but the service is just not really worth it unless you're already a whale. If you open up your skill window, on the bottom of the tab there is a button that says "sequence".
You can use this to set up a 1 button macro that pops all your abilities at the same time greatly simplifying most classes.
Also DA might be the worst class to pick if you want to have a stress free time, the class plays with only 30% hp so you die easily, which honestly isn't to bad, but it sucks killing older bosses since vhilla and will have mechanics where you can't use potion.
If you want to play a demon, demon slayer is alot better, demon slayer is somewhat a perfect classes with many iframes, a better faster dash, can tp to the boss, easy to burst on and one of the easiest farming in the game

Usually you don't burst at all to mob, classes dont really need a mobbing guide it's very easy to figure out, any old yt video of a guy mobbing on your class would pretty much be the same as now

pre 260 usually the map is more important than a class rotation, you need to find which maps are high density and easy to farm for your class

maplemaps.net show mob layouts, mob count and let you place erda fountain and stuff to figure out a good setup

\since i have a lasting 30 sec ori i gotta hop into a zone right away and there wouldn't be time to set up the triangle in tiger, i can get birds hp down and finish it with a mini burst while taking hits letting blue go down to 200-300 and yellow at 600 instead then go tiger and set up triangle then take some hits inside to get blue up and purple down, and my 2 min is up and i end up killing it with a gene iframe dpm + bind dpm, starting p3 with a mid yellow mid blue and a low purple

it is preferable to drift the burst to set up triangle on entry than do anything else in a min clear but you have too much damage so idk you can probably do whatever planning wise there

this was like a 10 min run due to a sloppy tiger p1 and p2 flew out of burst, ori lined up for start of p2, had good gauges all thruout, ascent x3 in p3 left perils at like 30% each then hard focused tiger, then bird, had ori up again for hundun at 7% and kaling was at 30%

So I've done testing on my 200s and I think Hoyoung is gonna be my main when CW3 comes.

Ren:
Will be a boss mule and I'll continue to work on her since she's 237 with slightly over a mil CP.

Lynn:
Other classes kinda ruined this one for me as she feels simple, the damage is nice

Hoyoung:
I have no idea what I'm doing on this class still but everything dies super fast despite not even being 60kCP. Feels great to play no matter what

Kanna:
Likely HB+Goddess pass and main until CW3. I really like the burst and with near 100% uptime on Oni it feels good to play no matter what

Sia:
I like this class but I don't like how all the skills are just stationary and sit in one spot so if the boss or mobs move everything is pretty much wasted. Combos also feel like shit in bossing since you gotta watch other stuff (could be skill issue)

Lara:
This was the first character I made and haven't touched it since hitting 200. I may look up some guides and see how it feels.

Angelic Buster:
This class was fun but the constant voices are annoying and it feels weaker than everything else. I would be willing to put more time on this but the voice lines are a dealbreaker.

Mo Xuan is level 88 so I may try and get more time with that but I feel like I got everything pretty well locked in.

Not the other anon but I'm trying out Lara in prep for CW3. Her burst is kinda weird, but not the worst i've handled before.
Also do i really have to manually manifest sun + wind and absorb every time? Would be nice if it was able to be sequenced, but only sun is able to be sequenced.
Other than that, it's just wack-a-mole with the short CD abilities and keeping up eruptions.
Does she really not have an iframe pre 6th? That's gonna be rough.

you hand absorb off to a pet and then never think about it again
you can put sun manifestation in your burst button and it'll make the sunlight filled ground
you dont need to do anything with wind swing to get the +1as but you can still use it manually to get the fun floaty zone
her iframe is ethereal form like a lot of other mages but mountain embrace does good work especially if you give it the hyper skill that makes it generate hp barrier
