I like Maeda's writing style, but it does feel like he is stuck in the mid 2000s, and he have the understanding of mental illness of a VN writer in the mid 2000s. People defend Wakki by saying "it worked", but that's only because Maeda wrote this way, this attitude of her would if anything has made Karen situation worse.
