I had some fun troubleshooting a container/inventory reset crash on death/reload. Looked like some leveled lists got corrupted or something. Turns out that running skypatcher with SPID is not without issues if you don't disable the container function of skypatcher. I did have those crashes very, very rarely in other saves but this time it was 100% of the time. Now the dtry keys extended whatever seems to have some issues after updating. But we'll see. I do like fixing issues more than playing games, it seems.

Obody and Unique Character are such cool mods for people like me who want to play quite close to the vanilla experience. Like I don't want to look like an average Skyrim NPC, but I also don't want to make everyone else clean-faced and handsome either. Not sure if this is the right place since everyone seems to have 1000+ mods here, but 5 mods can totally, radically change your experience with the game without turning everything into an inconsistent hodgepodge. Just because my OC donut looks like pretty and well-groomed doesn't mean everyone else should. TAWOBA is also amazing. Yes it's bikini armor which is dubiously lore-friendly (Arena + Daggerfall had skimpy stuff but Skyrim doesn't have much of it at all), but the fact that it seems to look pretty much vanilla really sells the illusion that you're playing a game with a wider variety of available armor pieces, and in doing so, makes your character look so much more unique. Like, I'm using it but I'm using the most modest armor pieces it offers. It does a lot more than just adds skimpy armor. I think it's the best armor mod ever made for the game.I'm also using Alternate Perspective which is my favorite Alternate Start mod, mainly because on top of offering you a real vanilla plus start where you begin at Helgen as a visitor rather than a prisoner, it has a clean, smooth interface rather than Arthmoor's WHERE WOULD YOU LIKE TO BEGIN. Feels a lot more immersive to start out somewhere with already established plot relevance. I don't have too much of a problem with the vanilla start either, but variety is the spice of life and all. I think I'm going to try to keep my modlist as lean and simple as possible to make it easier to troubleshoot later (and also because I'm playing the game on a Steam Deck which isn't exactly a supercomputer). I like the vanilla experience to begin with.
