Was Bungie lying over their reason for moving from Destiny to Destiny 2? A few years ago there was showcase circulating around for Destiny on PC (Through Emulation) and despite the game being visually buggy; what stood out was how everything loaded exceptionally well. Look at games like FFXIV or even Elder Scrolls Online, keep in mind came out the same year that Destiny did and they managed to overcome the problems with their games both of which had infinitely worse issues performance and engine limitations.I guess what I'm trying to say is it just seems as if there was an ulterior motive to scorch earth and start again, and their obsession with burying Rise of Iron was always interesting because RoI was the last piece from that old Bungie era and I think that many of those devs and designers who worked on Destiny before release and on post launch content were already out the door by 2016-2017 so it would make sense for why nubungie had this weird chip on their shoulder because ultimately they weren't apart of that era and saw it as a inferior product to what they were eventually going to make.
