Shackles of pain will bug out the AI and they won't attack your character most of the time. Going invisible lets you delay your turn to get two in a row for better action economy. Always get 5 polymorph for apotheosis. If you only have Eder he should almost always be in Defender stance and Hold the Line is a core ability he should have. Lots of gear impacts engagement as well so keep an eye out for them. Once you get to Defiance Bay, which is fairly early in the game, you should be pointed toward Pallegina's recruitment quest "At all Costs" right away. Once you have two frontliners getting overwhelmed probably means you had bad positioning or tactics more than anything else. Before you get Pallegina you can get Kana Rua at the gates of Caed Nua. Although he uses a gun by default Chanters make okay front liners because you can just throw a shield and the heaviest gear you have available on them and have them stand in front without impacting their song usage. So he's an okay stopgap offtank.Where are you having trouble? the Temple under Gilded Vale? Or just somewhere in one of the Wilderness zones?
