I find AI drives the worst when you get full speed into sharp corners, because it seems like they over-brake. So if you have multiple fast corners, you can just fly past everyone, usually gaining multiple positions in a single corner. But if a track is all corners, and your car isn't tuned for aggressive corner taking, braking and hard accell. you're pretty much straight fucked. They Ai might over-brake for fast corners, but on a track that's all corners all day, they overall take them pretty effectively. If I kept pace with them I would fly out of the corner, if I slowed down to what I needed to stay in the line, they would just gain a huge advantage which increased with every corner.

Since you're new, experiment with braking modulation over time. For now, it's okay to rely on ABS.
