ALONE: COMBATTIMENTO EVOLUTO
I'd want Diamondback to be a remix, not just a reskin, to set itself a bit more from Avalanche. Weapon placement would need to be moved around to new locations, swap out weapons for others. Replace sniper rifle with beam rifle, and swap the hornets with banshees, delete the spartan laser but remove all scorpions (replace with second wraith), etc.Add more cover to the middle section, maybe move the rocks around, reverse the man cannons so that they shoot you closer to the middle of the map instead of into your base. Maybe redesign the layout of the interior middle section or even close it off to encourage more battlefield participation (instead of hiding/fighting over sniper rifles), but you could have ramps that take you to the middle from there, and above the battlefield.I'd do this kind of thing with other maps like Sandtrap and Valhalla too. Turn Sandtrap into a snow map, change the structures in the middle with Covenant-themed architecture and replace the outside minefield with covenant turrets (basically turn it into BTB Snowbound). Turn Valhalla's theme into BTB High Ground and maybe push the cliffs back out further so the playfield is bigger. Make Standoff a jungle and remove the gates. Add a bunch of trees and debris for cover to make it less of a turkey shoot.

I'm not sure why all the other weapons can get changed or removed, but anons that like the sniper rifle get really flustered if you even mention touching their precious sniper rifle. It's a Halo game, you shouldn't get too attached to one weapon, you should appreciate the entire sandbox and not just play favorites with one weapon.

It's the Super Smash Bros/Mario Kart of Shooters where in a party/casual setting it's peak but people that have mastered it can ruin the fun for everybody. My advice is to start with modes like Big Team Battle (8v8) on Halo 3 and just try to follow other people around and assist them. Don't worry about your K/D, but do try to limit your deaths to help your team. After you get better, you can maybe try something a bit more sweaty.But really if you like Halo, you should play with a group. /hg/ usually becomes more active in the Summer. You don't have to, but if you post your Ganertag (even if you're on steam, you still will have one) I'll add you.

Destiny was never good.I had more fun playing Halo 4, Halo 5, Infinite, and even MCC at its most broken.I realize they never got to truly realize their vision, but overambition has always been Bungie's biggest Achilles Heel so that's nothing new.As for Bungie, it's going to come across as sadistic but I hope Sony closes them down. They have been overhyoed and have underdelivered for far too long. Even their Halo tenure is mostly a train wreck of luck early on that started to fade by the end if we're being honest. CE went through like 7 revisions and then just ended up being right feel, right place, right time. Halo 2 was 90% wasted development on shit that couldn't even run on the platform followed by a multi-month rush job to the finish line.
