I'm open to criticisms of my haze build. This match was unlosable but this build doesn't look much different from what I would run in a more even match.
I was the anon the other day complaining about how so many heroes have abilities and/or ults that instantly shut down haze ult and wondering if I should just ignore them and focus on the heroes who are more vulnerable. Instead, since then I've been dominating oracle with a haze ultbot building active reload > swift striker > slowing bullets > slowing hex > fury trance > curse, then just running around cursing and bursting whoever I want.
Weighted shots is a cheap +damage upgrade to slowing bullets and point blank was a late game buy because I was at the shop and had 3200 souls to burn. What should I be running instead?

haze benefits from increased weapon damage far less than most heroes. her base bullet growth is pretty low and her fixation damage is flat - it does not scale with items. also your ult's +14 damage is similarly added as flat damage
this makes fire rate and weapon procs the most important things to build on her, and weapon damage much less so
ricochet is also good naturally but if you're going curse you're probably looking to just delete one specific target with ult.
still worth considering though. it's worth noting if you haven't noticed (and i wouldn't fault you if you haven't), her ult is not a reaper ult. it is a soldier 76 ult. it does not deal aoe damage but instead aimbots people within your cone (with no sense of target priority!). without ricochet, >1 target in ult is a DPS loss. with ricochet, >3 targets is a DPS loss

I don't know, it definetly is more casualized in the way that it removes the draft which is very knowledge-intensive, but at the same time after thousands of hours of dota i think that might be a good decision. People can't really draft, you genuinely just can't expect for most people to counterpick or to even want to counterpick, even at high levels. I think if they get the algorythm right you might just end up with better teams on average than you otherwise would if people could pick specific characters. It also makes it so people can play the hero they actually want more often without fucking up the team composition by doing so.

You never use it in a head-on 6v6 as an initiate unless it's a huge T3 swap into black hole or similar group CC.
Ult is for catching stragglers or initiating in a Xv1 rape train. In this way it's actually better than a bebop hook, because she puts herself between the target and their path to safety.

Most of her late game damage comes from carbine and bomb's damage amp. That's why she can afford to go hybrid and buy the occasional spirit util item. If you eat an entire echo shard bomb combo she's going to be shooting you for +128% damage, but realistically the bombs would have killed you already.

She's actually really well designed in my book, even if she's a little bit... paradoxical.

The wheelchair operator that has two robots.
A Deadlock version would be two golems with one soul. Only one can be active at any time. If a golem is deactivated, it's invulnerable until you melee it twice, then its last current HP can be damaged as normal.
The hero doesn't start out with their golem until they reach level 6, where they can summon one with an ult, or replace a dead/injured golem with a fresh one.
Killing the active golem will start a respawn timer. This is just a regular death. The inactive golem remains on the field, available for enemies to melee and kill.

Y'know I was about to argue that Surge of Power is better on spirit characters but when I did the math the bonus spirit power from Surge of Power is genuinely less damage for most abilities with spirit scaling than the quicksilver reload bonus damage. So even if you don't like shooting your gun quicksilver reload is just better.
So honestly I really couldn't tell you, move speed I guess?

the +24 spirit power is applied at all times compared to qsr's 45+ / mmag's 70+ that needs to be charged for 18 or whatever secs to deal the full damage. so once you've imbued sop on wraith cards for example, every single card you'll ever throw from that point on in the match has the extra spirit power damage. but yeah qsr is better overall, you get burst spirit dmg AND sustained gun dps from the reload.

i think surge is most overrated on warden flasks, it barely gives them any bonus damage, you only benefit from the move speed and fire rate, and those are the buffs that go on cooldown so you might as well imbue it on a longer cd ability that actually benefits from the spirit power, so literally any other ability than flask. barrier cage and ult all would get much more mileage from the permanent +24 spirit power
