The fact so many are willing to join chinese servers shows a change in mindset for westerners. It used to be that made in china was mocked but they spent time learning and experimenting enough to create products superior to the rest of the world. More and more people are welcoming chinese culture into their lives. They realize that it may pay off being an early adopter. The chinese provide something that is lacking in the west. Strong and sensible leadership with long term perscpective. No clown shows there, just common sense policy and a willingness to play the long game. This mindset is perfectly demonstrated in their caretaking of the mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang. In the west this ancient tomb would have been raped to death by archaeologists but the chinese said that their technology is not ready enough to dig and decided to wait until they are 100% sure they can. Only a mature and non-arrogant country could make that decision. Europeans would have excavated it in the 1800s and destroyed most of it. Personally I think we could learn a lot from china. After some tweaks, the XP rates are set right and will be on the PTR soon for testing.We're using Maelstrom as the baseline for the time needed to hit level 85, but we've made adjustments to how XP is gained. At first, it might feel a bit slow, but with every milestone, there’s a noticeable XP boost, eventually reaching x2.6 rates from levels 1-60 (down from x3 on Maelstrom), x7 in the TBC/WotLK bracket (up from x3/level skip on Maelstrom), and x2.6 (up from x2 on Maelstrom) in the 80+ bracket. The overall XP rate jumps from x2.5 (Maelstrom) to about x2.9 (Gilneas).Milestones matter, so we've made it exciting: every 10 levels, there’s a significant XP boost as a reward. This kicks off at level 20 and goes up to level 50. Levels 60 and 70 already have much higher rates, so no changes are needed there. For example, in the level 40-50 bracket, XP increases by about +3.5% each level, but when you hit level 50, you get around +15% more XP.Additionally, the War Mode XP bonus in Open World, originally at 10%, is being doubled to 20%.
