I'm actually gonna stop shitposting for a second.I'm so sad I can't get into frontiers at all, even story wise, it's a "step in the right direction" if that means anything at all, but I really couldn't emotionally resinate with it, just doesn't fire off on all cylinders. I think Shadgens is a major step up but is sadly a bit to short to let me bake in it for long. I really hope the next major adventure for Sonic will really capture that feel since it's gotten very close with Shadgens. I also really miss the smaller mainline games like advanced, and Rush Series they really help make the wait not feel so long and I always loved what they could do, I still think Chaos Angel is S tier. I feel plenty of other franchise I've been into still have that heartfelt feeling, I wish Sonic never faultered on that. You could argue it was needed at the time but I think they could have at least kept it closer to HEroes style of writing and focus on the fun aspect more instead of what the meta era was. I can't help but find Sonic during the 2000's and classic era as a whole to be very charming games despite the flaws some have.
