This chance is pretty low from 15 to 17, after that it goes up, and gradually goes up by a smidgen. The trace can be restored with a few stars remaining by using a copy (spare) of the item.Shining starforce event reduces the chances by 30% so most people save spares for them, but it only happens rarely right now. But that with change with Crown where the event happens every other week.

I recently got my Phantom to 260, and I plan to use it to do bosses to help get more mesos to fund my main, So I took this weeks Erda weekly rewards and use them to unlock 2 Phantom Skills. The Ascent and HEXA Tempest. I've already been through this 3 times before, but turns out HEXA Tempest lvl 1 is far far weaker than Tempest. I'm sure if you do some seriously high investment you can eventually meet old numbers but right off the bat this is the second biggest nerf I've experienced in 6th job.I have Kanna, AB, Kaiser and Phantom.Current Kanna doesn't have a nerf, result of rework happening post the release of the skill boost nodes. However old Kanna has Kishin basically removed from the game, what had previously been a low damage summon that lasted forever (30 seconds + 5 per proc of a skill) became just 6 seconds.Angelic Buster attacks slower if she upgrades Trinity, which immediately results in a lot less damage.Kaiser arguably has the best time, the fire breath changes from a valuable DoT to a single instance of damage, if you upgrade it it might become the core of your play, but arguably it's lvl 1 is worse than that amazing fire trail we used to have.Still Phantom takes it to a new level of nerf. Tempest goes from dealing 5325% to dealing 3080%. That's a massive drop. If I went through every patch notes of every Phantom nerf that has ever happened in this game, I don't think I could find one this big.What's worse is that players don't understand it. They have no ability to grasp that Nexon would even do this to them. When I enter a boss and starting hitting them how do I know if I actually have the damage to kill them or not, assuming I'm not hitting 1s? I was thinking. With being new to the game and planning to main Zero in CW3 I'm likely gonna have a tougher time on harder bosses than others aren't I? Not only will I be trying to learn zero (more than I am now) but also trying to learn the boss and I haven't done anything harder than cvelly on my 3mil CP Lynn. What's gonna be the least painful way to do it? Basically just keep doing practice mode attempts and try and brute force it until I find something that works? My goals right now are to just clear that slime boss or normal/easy and then I'll consider the CW3 a success but in the event that comes sooner than I expected I would like to find a way to progress without wanting to drive my head through the wall or coming to hate the class I currently love. Everyone has said to not to make Zero for CW3 but there's nothing else I want to play and if not CW3 then when?
zero does have an ideal combo sequence so yeah it'd just be brute force until you get used to using the sequence during any boss. your culvert is also guaranteed to be shit so you might get kicked from some sweaty guilds if you're in heroic cw

Lara is one I'm considering. I'm waiting until CW3. Depending on how much I like her past hlomien, i'd put the Adele I'm priming on the back burner until I'm ready to focus on her again. That leaves a slots 4 and 5, assuming i like Lara enough to put her as a LC. There's a lot i can fill in there; Paladin, Busta, Aran, Dawn Warrior, Ren, maybe give Khali another chance. Blaze wizard and dark knight look cool, but unlike the others, i haven't actually played them.
