Not to mention the fact that they added back in stuff BEFORE Bungie did like Fishing and SRL, on top of new features like a Gwent minigame, bot players for when you run into problems filling up lobbies, a properly realized clan system, a casual chat where you can talk with players outside of activities, I think there's even a built in LFG system too. You could probably outsource the IP to anyone at this rate and get a similar or even better experience to what Bungie puts out.

Crafting should have never been added in its current or release form.If they wanted bad luck protection they should have made a very rare drop(think gjallerhorn d1 rarity) from certain activities that allowed you to craft a single weapon with all the options available. That way players would still be grinding activities for their god rolls but the occasional crafting token drop would be just as exciting and allow them to stop their grind since they could curate their desired weapon.

Part of me wonders if they planned to cancel Destiny for awhile now. After they saw how badly Edge of Fate flopped they did the bare minimum for Ash and Iron and delivered Renegades purely because they had a contract with Lucas Arts. It would explain why the last year has felt particularly quiet with details of future plans and content.
