kotor1 and kotor2 were big during my formative years so I would say those games' party were my favorites. Bastila was one of my first crushes as a child, same with Mira. Jolee Bindo is still to this day someone I use as an example of a sensible Jedi. Kreia is a super fun character who said tons of interesting things even if she was wrong. There are so many fun characters packed into a fun game. I used to replay those games every year, I would play them over the summer when school was out. I've played them probably like 7 times each. So naturally I went straight into swtor as well when that came out and have been loving that ever since as well.Of course bg1 and bg2 are up there as well, always loved Imoen, and Minsc+Jaheira especially became timeless recurring characters still to this day.And who could forget Alistair+Morrigan bickering, or Leliana+Morrigan being frienemies.Garrus and Wrex get an honorable mention.Hmm, writing this makes me miss classic bioware. Oghrens life is a tragedy and it's a tragedy of his own making and his own weakness, and that's what makes him fun.Now compare to the other two characters you mention, when do they fuck up? When do they fail, really truly, and badly? It never happens. They just have bad things happen to them here and there, but on a personal, individual level, do THEY fail and have to deal with guilt and regret and sorrow of that, and go through a real character arc? No, it's the usual "outside forces conspire against me but I overcome it all and achieve everything I'm after". Morrigan defeats her mom, Alistar gets to become king or continue as a Grey Warden. And yes, especially considering Alistar I'm aware they can have worse endings than that, but the thing that sets Oghren apart is even if he SUCCEEDS in the sense of his game quest, his life is still a ravaged ruin and he has to deal with the consequences of that and the fact that's it's all his fault due to who and what he is. That is much better writing than either Alistar or Morrigan get.

Both have a lot of evidence for and against, you basically just have to guess currently.The War Shaper hated him, and potentially had the motivation of covering up the deaths, but the agent was actively following him when or just before dying, and he was killed at the edge of the cliff, so he'd have to be pretty incompetent to let the person he's actively tailing get behind him like that. Also it feels like it'd just be cheesy if the warshaper was behind literally every mystery in the kroot area. Plus we see with the kroot bodies he hid them all in one pile in one place in the swamp, while the agent's body was dismembered and hidden in multiple places on the other side of the swamp from his existing corpse stash, and I don't see why he'd go so out of his way to hide him differently instead of just going back to his closer hiding spot.The Flesh Shaper would make more sense with his dying comment about the irony of his death, and could have come up behind him from the camp. He's also actively hiding a wound, while the War Shaper just has too many wounds to tell if one is the one from the agent. Why does Zerbe order the death of the Kroot only when Rufinus died. The Kroot have been on the planet for a century at least and have had human alliances in the past. Why does Rufinus’s death suddenly make the Kroot an issue. The Agent’s death was self-inflicted by his intentional targeting of the Baron’s men and manipulating the Kroot to eat drug infested bodies which had an adverse effect on their psyche. Kroot who value genetic purity and strength above all else. Had Rufinus not acted foolishly he would still live, as the Kroot were open with him, but he himself had to muck it up and for some reason the Kroot must pay for this, though his killing was undoubtedly justified and Rufinus was way over his head. Zerbe should see reason in this. Milicentillia sure does.

Since this is the bg1 edition, I'd just like to say that I prefer the wilderness feeling of bg1 over bg2, and the bhaalspawn mystery and iron crisis over Irenicus.
