If you're so far down the elemental trees that you have Fireball and Cone of Cold it's easy to take Morrigan down the Cold tree as well and get her to Blizzard so the two of you have a much easier time casting Storm of the Century. Giving Morrigan Force Field is insane in a vacuum but combo'ing it with Crushing Prison from your Warden is even better. Since Morrigan is usually well served going down the Entropy tree anyway you can give yourself a few of the good spells there, like Horror is very early in the tree for your Warden but combine that with Sleep later in the tree for Morrigan and you have a solid single target comboGenerally just cheese with combos if you're using two or even three mages

The only thing you lose out on when not playing on Core or some of the other difficulties are a few achievementsThe games are balanced pretty poorly though, with all the enemies having stats and ACs way above their TTRPG counterparts, so you'll still need to make a build that's at least somewhat decent. That's not really a problem on Normal in either game though, and there's no need to get 80AC or other absurd stuff like that most of the time. I've mostly winged it (did spend a lot of time reading all the tooltips and stuff when leveling to know what might be good) and never found myself completely gimped, though perhaps don't choose something like a Magus for your first playthrough, since some of them can be a bit difficult to make work at first

My clues support the hypothesis that the Canoness and her retinue of Sisters accidentally killed themselves by activating the filtration system following an incident caused by the censer burning xenos plants. Politically the best person to blame would be the leader of the Fusiliers, and I've got stuff like her hands being burned similarly to the servant, but I feel like I'm missing something.There's clearly tensions between the Fabricator General and the Canoness, but the Pontifex also had reasons to want the Canoness dead. However, the Pontifex is clearly not happy that she died before he could prove her wrong, so it's probably not him. The Fabricator General wouldn't have needed a servant to get a piece of the poisonous plant, since one of his Genetors is responsible for them, so he could have procured a sample through him instead. He therefore doesn't seem to have been the person who stole the plant and put it into the censer.I've honestly got no clue (or evidence for) who hired the servant to get the plant, and who could have killed him, since the killer probably wasn't a cog due to them not really having the ability to get reverent enough to leave a psy-trace like we see

It's an interesting phenomenon. Characters like Aerie, Tali and Cassia are generally popular among male players and yet a certain crowd of people always try to say that these characters are "little sister coded" with the implication that if you ormance them you are a creep. I finally finished pic related and Arcanum was a fun world to visit. I went in almost blind, having abandoned a previous run as a gun user because the game ran like ass and constantly being out of ammo not being fun. I decided to roll a sword and board dwarf this time around, something that turned out to be pretty painful. The lack of small gear that would fit me meant that almost every random encounter on the world map murdered me. It wasn't until I had done some grinding for money and got a hold of some small armour in Tarant that I felt the game really took off. Your companions' AI being dumber than a pile of rocks also caused a few reloads.The main quest was all right and the mystery pretty compelling. I did a good guy run and I think an evil run could be interesting too. The newspapers available in the games was a small feature that I really enjoyed. Reading about things as mundane as tax policies and weather forecasts helped make the world come alive.I would love to see another game in the setting with modernised game mechanics.
