You undersell that ending. Joule and Mytyl are basically dead. You can't even feel good about killing Zonda because she's a loli + Eden's Party. Copen doubles down on the genocide route. Nothing feels resolved because the issues that created Eden will only get worse, and Sumeragi are still waiting in the shadows. There's really no silver lining. And I don't think Mytyl's dreams and memories of GV completely fading because she's happy now sounds very happy to sane people. Waking up one day only vaguely remembering loved ones, and then gradually having those memories fade away; that's horrifying.

Mid-low. While it is Tai, first, when you do a loop story, there's the automatic assumption that you'll see old characters again, and second, GV3 ends with GV regretting all the killing and being told the only way to save the world is to make friends.

It is not a metaphor. Gunvolt is a sequel to Gal Gun, Copen is the child born out of the main heroine (Shinobu) losing the MC in the cannon ending. You're more likely to get Nova as a frenemy. We sort of saw how his redemption would play out in GV3 already, so they can handwave a lot of it. Zonda is the only one who we haven't had a rematch with. What you should be hoping for is that Zonda is Xiao's muse, because that would mean she's a major character again. It would be nice to get some non-confrontational interactions with Zonda, because she has such an interesting personality and outlook.

Inti isn't WayForward, and they should embrace the indie scene. Even studios that sell 100 times more than they do, like Supergiant or Larian, are part of the digital scene. The model is better and allows for a better product. Instead of a remake of a remaster of a port. They should release games initially on PC and offer early access. A game like Mighty, and especially Dragoon, would benefit greatly from this, and they could even do something more ambitious, like a 3D game. I hate how so many features are broken just because I didn’t buy the new, more expensive version of the game. Even though it has more features, you might lose things down the line (3DS features), because they want parity across platforms.
