I have played Japanese Mahjong, Traditional Chinese Rules Mahjong and European Rules Mahjong for the past two decades. I have played pretty much every online version you can think of, read books and frequently play against others and computer AI - that sort of thing. I know all about defence, tile efficiency, when to push, when to pull back, reading the table and so on. What is absolutely breaking my mind right now is that Iintroduced me to Majsoul and I've been playing it for a while now and have played at least 50 matches, and out of those fifty matches I have won four hands, two of which were mangans (one dealer and one non-dealer) and the the other two were around 2000 to 3000 points. Now I STRUGGLED to make these hands (both the mangans and the lower point hands), yet I am constantly going up against others who are consistently and repeatedly winning with haneman or better! And I mean they are winning a LOT of the time. Once every so often, one of the opponents will win with a paltry 4000 or less hand but more often than not they'll win a lot of hands worth a lot of points - and very quickly at that, which is blowing my mind because my tenpai rate in this game is ATROCIOUS. Is anyone else noticing that in this game? My niece is a decent player but seldom plays online but even she is mystified by the RNG in this game and finds it weird. What is really giving me pause is that I'm noticing that it's higher level players and those who have purchased stuff in the game that seem to have this good luck. I mean a few other low level players/new starts seldom seem to win. I'm quite lucky that I mostly scrape a 2nd place win and seldom deal in, but 1st place is out of the freaking question for me due to the fast and gigantic tsumo wins by other players. Is anyone else experiencing this with this game? Because I feel like I'm going freaking nuts. Something feels really off about it.

Okay, I'm done with GIMP. I've been using it for nearly 20 years now, but all the issues I've had with 3.x have been piling up to the point where I just can't tolerate it anymore. The input issues under Wayland and the complete lack of any documentation despite the retarded and unintuitive configuration options were the final push I needed to finally drop it. I'm willing to listen to any alternatives OC slaves have to offer.

The lowest I got was M2 something like 1000 points when I was not paying much attention during the ranked grind.The value of a 1st stays constant while the value of a 4th increases going from X1->X2->X3. So X1 ranks are difficult to fall from if you've been higher enough.
