If that's still canon the Abnormality should be the final expression of Kim's Distortion after it's eaten through every scrap of his individuality. On the other hand the Maestro in Leviathan exploded into Schaudenfreude, which shouldn't be possible if such is the case.Now, personally I think there's an important difference in how the Maestro's Distortion transforms vs what would normally happen.A Distortion's natural progression would presumably occur through a gradual hollowing of the original personality as the channeled archetype erodes it over time - a lot like EGO Corrosion except slower and more permanent. In the Pointillist's case however, his world was traumatically destroyed at its foundations, severing the connection with his archetype and creating a vaccuum through which schaudenfreude could climb back into reality.Note that it emerges from the Distortion like a Xenomorph, rather than the Distortion becoming it. I think him drawing on the same/a similar archetype as Schaudenfreude, which was booked at the time, allowed it to be spat back out in place of whatever unique Abnormality the Maestro would have become. Kim on the other hand would have followed the natural progression of gradual ego erosion until he simply became incapable of death or change. If I'm right we're either pulling the EGO from a mirror world, or directly from Kim's Fathoms where it exists as a potentiality of what he could one day become.
