This is what I understand, and is all stated as a question because this shit isn't really explained in the beta.The Tyrant Star is some weird phenomena in the Calixis sector that no one knows much about, a star that appears out of nowhere and makes people go insane. Prior to it appearing, people already start going looney tunes, weird cults start forming, there's natural catastrophes, weird phenomena and basically everything starts going wrong.Our specific brand of Inquisition in the Bastion Serpentis is the Tyrantine Cabal. A collection of inquisitors investigating this phenomenon. The head honcho is actor / inquisitor lord Anthony Zerbe, a psyker, and of the Ordo Heredicus. I'm assuming we'll ourselves go from acolyte to a full inquisitor later on.We're not going to be done with this current planet, Scintilla, because there's more hives etc to go through, and there's no way we're not going to a place called Gunmetal City. The game doesn't hold your hand and you can miss a bunch of questlines, story and powerful gear if you don't explore.Main flaw if combat is clunky and it's very easy to get OP. By clunky I mean AI is meh and attacks/movement can be a bit janky, but it's not bad. Lots of things you can do with builds/gear tho sadly very easy to get OP. You start off struggling and there was a powerspike for enemies when entering a new zone/act, but after some time you gear up and most things become easy if you know how to fight. I guess there is challenge mode and NG+ so maybe that makes it better if you want a challenge.

You can do damage combo stuff Storm Sorc, Tempest Cleric, Wet target stuff or Draconic Fire Sorc Rays, but optimal blasting usually isn’t the focus of most casters. I also certainly prefer the control emphasis over having a laundry list of buffs to hand out as the primary contribution. Twinned Haste is still amazing but it feels like a choice rather than an obligation. The Ritual mobility buffs are perhaps where BG3 stumbles here, but at least those are limited in number. I really like casters in BG3 even if they tend not to reach “godlike” outside of Abjuration Wizard or maybe the optimized damage sorcs.

I chose Rebar instead of Breakfast, because I think it is more intimidating. And Rebar is the brute force structure that holds his crew together. He also burst 5 guys' skulls like melons with some rebar on his first run.

He can shit out a ton of damage with his railgun or he can buff melee characters to do aoe electric attacks with every hit. He can also boost defenses, can add extra energy damage to ranged attacks, etc. I guess they wanted to make a legitimate contender for Cassia for you Officer spot.
