You can choose to either rule the city from the shadows, or go to the underdark and begin a campaign against the houses of Menzoberranzan alongside various surface dwellers and disenfranchised underdark denizens. She's not even that sad you killed the brain, she loves the challenge of conquering conventionally, and agrees the brain would have drawn too much attention (which is true, Elminister is going to kill the player offscreen a week from now in the control ending lol, but they don't tell you that). This is my favorite ending.

I don't need misguided lawmen rising up against me again. Neutral opportunist RT is fun, honestly. Malikai Scipio-Grimald started this journey confused but open to the idea of becoming something more. He wanted to save his men, executed an officer for insubordination in front of all other officers, and generally adhered to the tenants of the Imperium before his new status as Rogue Trader gradually settled in. He had a future that was outside of a battlefield, as much as he loved them. Those superiors and pencil pushers he and his men's lives were decided by were now subservient to him. He could make something far greater of himself. Why not take all the liberties he ever wanted? Why bother being loyal and faithful to those were never the same with him? From then on, it would be he and his men.

I turned the difficulty down to Hard instead of Very Hard for this level and it's still proving a challenge. I was good up to here, but this level is one long battle so also if someone goes down, we don't have the option of ending combat, and only two trauma kits. I'm not sure if this is just a spike and I'll end up returning to Very Hard, but this is attempt maybe 4. I probably could be better at making the baddies come to me instead of running to meet them when they're behind cover. Plenty of doors to use as chokepoints.
