Abyss is very expensive if you aren't playing in a group because it takes 4 gold books to enter it (cost lessens in a group because only the host needs to use the books so you can take turns hosting) and it's also ruined by the fact that one of the crucial mats you want from it is a random enemy drop which means you have to delay waves to maximize it which takes away what little fun you could be having with the it. Ensemble is extremely p2w. The reception to both of these modes has been pretty negative across every region. Beyond that, they haven't touched the gameplay at all.
