The people who are gonna be in these threads all day are the people who care really fucking deeply about all the "lore" and history of Deltarune and trying to understand it. Chapter 5 declines to explore basically any of that further than what had already been received in 3+4. Simply from that it should be no surprise there is an air of disappointment, concern and apathy in these threads now. For theory fans, there basically was not a new Deltarune release this week, and they thought there was gonna be a big one. In chapter 1, theory fans took one look at Flower King and thought "wow, there's gonna be revelations here". All the UT hearts as flowers, that Asgore talks to and tells his secrets to. They end up teaching the player almost nothing about history. Instead the best they get is Ralsei vagueposting his way through scrambled documents to learn what "the players paying attention" pieced together a year ago.

She probably knows Rudy encouraged their relationship since he's a present parent and wants her to be happy, whereas Carol is too focused on the goal of finding Dess.
