Kanna is not nearly streamlined of a burst as Hayato because you still need a lvl 5 ring to really get things off perfectly, but it does look and feel a lot nicer with the few things you get in exchange for a slightly longer burst like 50% dmg reduction during burst, on-burst fd stacks for each of your shikigami, and the cute but blinding Haku background.

Erda is the best bind, but the vast majority of class binds are essentially just a re-skinned erda. Kanna's problem is that the bind is implemented as a single target bind, so it's actually possible to miss on any boss that can summon other mobs.
Keep in mind most class bonds have a 2 minute cooldown out the gate so they’ll be better than Erda until you get it to level 25

I do play hayato. She's 170M with three boss familiars and nukes everything up to hseren faster than any other boss mule I have. It's slightly clunkier but you get used to timing your dashes and sub 20s parry.

I like the dashing. You can chain them all and basically cut through an entire map from left to right. The only dash I'm not a huge fan of is the ren style dash + attack and return.

It was the story for me. I played it around stormblood and made a new character to progress through with a friend and I realized just how fucking slow it was, literally hundreds of hours between the waiting for dungeons to pop, the little bit of grinding you had to do at the time through fates and shit, and just the sheer amount of fucking walking back and forth to quest points to sit in stupid dialogue with slow walking.I'm really thankful for games like maple and OSRS where it's there and if you want to engage with it, can be great, but you're totally able to just tune it out and space bar through.
I had fun when the game first rereleased back when it was still on ps3. A ton of friends were playing it. We all had good times. Then they gradually stopped playing starting Heavensward and completely out around Stormblood, and finally myself after Shadowbringers.For me it was the whole patch loop being less and less, more predictable, while the time between patches took longer and longer.Although looking at it now, yeah having to go through 80 hours of game just to hit the meat of the content doesn't sound like a good time, especially when the story itself can get rather mediocre.Don't get me wrong, it's leagues above Maple's where I just don't fucking care because gooks can't write for shit, but if one of the the selling points is the story and if the story is weak at times, then why bother suffering, yknow?

on closer inspection the 8 lives changes is only up to hseren/nkaloskinda weird how yall alrdy got söy hecate but not the boss revamps while we have it the other way round
the boss changes were in KMS their anniversary update, the changes in those anni updates are usually all over the place when it comes to when GMS and MSEA gets them.
It's kind of hard to adapt to the game when the meta changes constantly, there was only meme shifts of top and bottom switches before but now it's like any class can get gutted over a 2 fd nerf every patch because everyone else is getting 3fd buffs spread across like 2 years of updates. On top of that CW dropping a stronger-byuler-than-from-previuious CW every 6 months means you have no choice but to follow the meta nowadays or just get left in the dust.
