There's no reason why it wouldn't be possible. But just because it's possible doesn't mean it's not incredibly difficult. Every part of spellcasting besides intent and any mental things seem to be ways of making spells easier and more reliable to cast. Using wand, specific movements, and incantations. Doing without one or more of those takes a significant amount of training. Most wizards at Hogwarts are taught to cast spells nonverbally in their sixth year. We see many instances of wizards simply ignoring the traditional wand movements, likely once they've become familiar enough with a spell that it's no longer required, and that's often combined with nonverbal casting. Most wizards aren't even capable of casting wandless magic unless their culture specifically trains them that way, and is almost only ever performed verbally. The only exceptions I could think of are accidental magic, or possibly some of the top tier wizards in the magical world.
So, possible? Sure, but probably incredibly difficult. But, at the same time, just because you're in your animagus form, doesn't mean you have to use wandless magic. Per word of god, changing in and out of your animagus form without a wand is an advanced animagus skill. While not a spell in and of itself, that does mean you should be able to channel magic through it for spellcasting just by being in contact with it, even if you can't speak the incantation or make the traditional wand movements.
