So Camilles story is one of the best we've had so far it's the only one that seems like it'll have any meaning or significance in the future. It was horribly let down by the low budget it was given so instead of having a proper Cher model we had a generic mook with whtie hair, unfortunately that will sucked some of the joy out of it but it still compares favorable to others. They also left the door open for Cher to be a playable character in the future by retconning his murder, as we know having murderous villains be redeemed is not favorable in China and usually condemns characters to be eternal NPCs. In terms of character stories I think the objective /end/ tier list now looks something like this>A TierLaevatain / Tangtang / Camille>B for Brickyland TierWulfgard / Rossi>C TierYvonne / Mi Fu >D TierGilberta / Fangyi, I know some people are still unhappy by Fangyi being so lowly ranked but the fact is she had more aura and was a better character in Mi Fus story than her own which only served to ruin the pacing of the main story while failing to have the impact they hoped for. It really feels like the character designer and animators have one view of her while the writers have a completely different one

And the placement of her story segments, the tour when you first get to Wuling and the suicide mission are both poorly placed where they really jar with the pacing of the story. The suicide one especially might have been better as its own dedicated side story like other characters but both her segments really cause frustration for people doing the story. Contrast that with Tangtang whose story was extremely well integrated into the story that it didn't break the pacing. Other than the last small epilogue of that story which people rightly also complained about. On top of that she feels so much more iconic and distinct when you first approach Wuling and see her as the Jade Goddess and when you see her in Mi Fus story. Of course the contrast is the point to a degree but it doesn't work well. The strength and impact she has in those two scenes should still be a core part of her character when you're bonding with her rather than portraying it as a "fake" facade. It's fine to prop up your heroes emotionally but they should still be heroes

I'm currently sitting at his banner with a 90-guarantee pity.Should I totally just skip him and go all in for 1.4? I initially planned to skip 1.3 to save enough to guarantee Arcane. I know that there's a high chance that the next patch will be much bigger than 1.3 so there's bound to be more pulls to extract and gain in that patch. Finished reading the Camille's quest. It was pretty interesting and I liked that it sets up a future storyline instead of just being a date (just like Wulfgard's quest). The only problems I have with it is that Camille is a cringe chuuni nerd, the first third of the quest is mind-numbingly boring and Char didn't have a unique 3d model in the fight cutscene. I'd rate it around Mifu's quest, 7/10.
