I figured out how to make two objects collide, and got a bit too excited watching the camera slide off a wall and up a hill. It only works with colliding capsules and triangles though. But I don't think that's going to be an issue. Nothing with complex volume is ever going to move, and I can easily omit the "extend" part of the capsule to just make a sphere collider. (it actually acts more like a cylinder when near a triangle edge, but whatever.)At this point, I'm still not regretting making a game without an engine. I don't think I would have stuck with it for so long if I didn't have to put everything together all myself. It's kind of nice to know exactly what goes in to every little function, and how it all works. (I need to standardize my function names though. it's a mess)I tried taking the usual advice to avoid premature optimization to heart, but then I implemented the collision, and I'm suddenly doing all kinds of calculations on all 25000 triangles in the terrain every frame, and FPS tanked from [as fast as my monitor can render] to 15. I've still got more ideas to optimize, like splitting the terrain into smaller sections, and AABB checking to see which ones to skip over entirely, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

I can't shake the feeling and idea off entirely. I wanted to make a female protagonist for what I am working on right now, this is the iteration that finally works. Female protagonist?
