If you can resolve the level 6 in the draw phase, then you're in a good spot. Otherwise all you're doing is trying to search and deep draw for it and you still need two bodies to get the ball rolling. The fact they are quick play searches does mitigate the droll problem a little, but the level 6 is the biggest choke point

I breezed my way to DL Max playing an unoptimized RB deck and there are dozens of other decks that I know I could do just as well with. My issue with generic engines like Adventure or Fiendsmith is that it means you just lose going second if you don't have 3+ hand traps. If you have any less, you don't have enough cards to disrupt the engine combk AND their real combo.

DragonSomething I like about the 2023 RDA support is it forced you to run the OG to get the full suite of effects. Crimson Gaia actually managed to make the old effect a lot better and less situationl.I am hopeful that with Toons being what they are we get new Ritual Support for Relinquished. Adding a modern Ritual engine on top of the past support for Relinquished and you maybe get Hecahands but better.
