>>572938148>I don't understand how Drifter has become a monster when the buffs on paper don't look like much1: literally every universal change directly helps him. souls from npcs are down over the board so someone like drifter who only farms as a consequence of roaming and wants to fight benefits. health is down so someone who wants to burst you and fuck off before your friends can come. ults universally have 5% more cooldown so drifter who has a short cooldown but still has a good teamfight ult got buffed by comparison. the changes to boons helps characters that want to have 2 of their abilities maxed ASAP2: rend was already on paper a ridiculous ability, when built into even moderately it was power slash but with 1/3rd the cast time, harder to counterbuild and with a built in 2.3s silence on a short cooldown. now it has an even shorter cooldown and you can much more consistently land the full hit after teleporting instead of giving them time to walk out3: +3 instead of +2 movement on bloodscent is much better then it initially appears, it puts drifter easily above the speed you need to slide (before he would be just below it) meaning you buy fleetfoot and now your ammo issues dissapear. having literally the highest base movement speed in the game just helps him rotate in general too and stacks with the large sprint speed from his ult or the urn. drifter gets this speed buff if at any point within the last 7 seconds an isolated hero was within 80m of him (about the tower to tower length in lane) and he can walk into the area. and almost every drifter build either has trophy (bigger range to pick up this buff) or duration (longer time for someone to be randomly doing sinners on the enemy side of the map before you even walked by) so it basically reads "drifter is fast as shit outside of team fights"
