Not willing to explain the truth about what happened out of fear of bringing the kids into it, he says only that he brought Dess, Noelle and Kris into the shelter and Dess went missing in the dark. The shelter is closed off and life goes on, but it’s clear Noelle and Kris are both traumatized and Asgore knows something’s up and finds black shards from the knife used to open the fountain. Carol knows too but doesn’t want to force Noelle to remember what happened. The process of Kris moving past this trauma and “forgetting” the incident is shown by the egg scenes but Dess, after many years which we get a glimpse of in the UNUSED text finally escapes and contacts Kris to play “one last game.” 2/2

So there's something about Chapter 5 I haven't actually seen anyone discuss yet (at least not here).Flowery's stats are made up, which is something I would hope everyone who played the chapter knows. However, we can confirm that these made-up stats function correctly for the purposes of battle - if you equip the FloweryScarf, Ralsei does actually get +80 attack and +80 defense. That means that, when the Knight ignored Flowery's fake statistics, the Knight just ignored the rules of the game altogether. The Knight also didn't even deal any damage values when it cut Flowery in half - it just did it. Battles literally don't matter. They're made up.The final fight that we will have against the Knight will not be decided by filling Mercy to 100% or reducing the Knight's HP to 0. In order to beat the Knight, we are going to have to discard the rules of the game and force a victory through other means.

Hell, it'd have been fine if it ends with Noelle being introduced to the dark world halfway through, and mildly freaking out, then when Rudy falls and gets to a bad physical state/dying Noelle opens a dark fountain OUTSIDE, where the chapter ends.I actually don't mind what we got, Toby had to balance the flower shop dark world with the festival and compromises were made. He clearly wanted a chill dark world this time and, yes, Chapter 5's rather relaxing dark world is probably my favorite as I always wanted a dark world where the adventure and gameplay aspects are built on instead of endless exposition like in Chapter 4.

The only fucking way I can think of the town making money is it capitalizing on tourism during the summer due to the lakefront and Gerson's grave, since Gerson was a famous writer. What even is the "it's a small town festival" argument lmaoIt doesn't matter how big or small it is, the problem is the lack of content and character interactions. It could literally be just Kris,Susie,Noelle and Berdly walking around the town as it is, and it would be fine as long as they got many scenes of them talking and interacting with each other, instead of 4-5 scenes total for the whole festival. The closet scene in chapter 4 has more dialogue than the whole festival, including post-festival Suselle scene.
