You used the same white color for her skin, her clothes, and the background, so trying to do a simple selection to remove the background also selected all of that making it a painful mess of manually selecting everything that shouldn't have been selected. Thankfully the quick selection tool mostly figured out where the lines should be. You can fix it by either using an actual skin / clothes color next time, using a different background color, OR filling in the lines all the way so there's no gaps in the pixels

My philosophy became, its not the tool but the artist. hence im still trying to work on myself and try to strive to adapt my favorite artists to my personal style. I do get fits of despair about how im not where i want to be. but i guess its something that takes a lot of experience as other artists have told me. I do miss the manga tools and screen tones from clip studio though, but drawpile's animation is so straight forward, its like the DS flipnote studio really.
