Now that we know that Asgore wasn’t part of the conspiracy chapter 4’s conversation with Toriel and Rudy makes it clear that Carol was supporting Asgore’s research into Dark Worlds, which in turn should exclude her from being involved in them or being the knight. Ironically this casts more suspicion on Rudy with “you know what” being a double entendre where he actually does know what Asgore is talking about but is keeping mum for his own reasons.
