The more you play Deltarune, the more the idea that "Nobody can choose who they are" is disproven. So this idea imo has to end with the Player getting to choose who they are, choosing to be the being they created at the beginning of the game. I don't necessarily think the vessel has to return, if Toby decides not to bring the Vessel back, I think a good story still can be written. But I also think the Vessel returning fits with a lot of Deltarune's themes.(Also the vessel is just a cool way to represent the player, human-like but clearly off and wrong?)

I wanna say I fucking hate Orange soul mode so much, he almost instantly runs out of ideas for how to utilize a dash and its introduction is copying the Yellow soul's without realizing why that worked. Alternate soul modes were not yet a thing in DR when it was introduced and it was the only one until 3+4 released, and most people instantly how to use it because it was from Undertale, and adding a charge shot isnt hard to grasp from there.Orange comes after 3 other alt souls, one of which was introduced in the same chapter before this, and it just zooms in on it like "Well? Basically everyone I've seen struggle with the fight fell for Ralsei's trick and didn't realize they could turn voice clips back on in the next area so they just left them off for the rest of the chapter. There should probably be a warning about it added somewhere, or the fight should have voice clips even if you turned them off.

Noelle pulls out her cardboard disguise even though she never made one, Berdly talks about Kris solving a puzzle that Noelle froze, the Berdly statue spawns in the toilet out of nowhere, etc. Breaking Berdly's arm is more of an alternate route than abort2. Being able to keep the Thorn Ring there is just an afterthought Toby decided not to patch out. Originally you could keep the Snowgrave spell on Noelle while aborting the route but that one got patched, the Thorn Ring is probably the same type of oversight.
