And you're understanding exactly right about its effect on followers. Provided they have a zeroed sliders body (or a bodyslide preset that obody can apply after you build them with zeroed sliders yourself), you can just equip anything on them and it will fit.

Obody (you should be using the NG version) will dynamically conform any armor to any bodyslide preset you have installed in-game. So you could have npc 1 using a skinny-as-a-rail preset, give her hide armor, and the hide armor would adapt to her bodyshape, then you could take that exact same armor, give it to another npc with a dummy thicc preset, and it will also automatically adapt to her bodyshape as well. It is a fantastic mod and I absolutely cannot recommend it enough. It is so much better than picking out specific outfits for certain npcs to wear and building each outfit to a different preset in bodyslide.
