Constant strange balance decisions that created completely worthless items and items so good there's no reason to use anything else. Helldivers 2 is actually very well balanced. Certain weapons are completely useless like the sterilizer (I don't have that warbond so I'm just going off of what people say about it), but most of the weapons are at least decent. The people that complain about balancing usually want everything to be as good as the ultimatum or the cremator, which is a very high bar for power, and would frankly make the game less interesting because it would be too easy.

This would incentivize people to just earn them by just playing the game instead of the fuckass FRV D1 grind. When you make the most effective way of grinding actually fun, less people will feel the need to circumvent it.
