Maybe I'm just gullible but the way i interpreted the thing about stall teams is that they're making it so its not monotonous the whole way through and its a little more exciting? They didn't actually say it would punish stall, just that new mechanics would kick in once the fight goes on for long enough.

I kinda get it. I do stall too and i have unironically dropped off to sleep while playing. You know, the nodding off on the bus and jerking back awake thing. Only time will tell if this actually is a demerit for stall but if its actually fair i can see it being a positive in the long run? It shouldn't be so boring I'm falling asleep, man.

They said it would only affect battles that lasted "much longer" than 50 to 80 turns. Most bosses already have a ramping effect (some of which are uncapped) so drawing out a fight endlessly is rarely an option anyway.
For what it's worth, I made great progress with an Annah/W.Carmen team before hitting another wall. At which point switching to a two dealer team (B.Charlotte and Clarissa with Waltz and Emily) became a better team composition
