The way Quadratum would work is that outside of Shibuya and Shinjuku, the world of Quadratum starts to morph into different regions where Star Wars, Marvel and other Disney properties come into play (think fever dreamlike.) We make fun of Nomura a lot but I do think that if we exclude KH1, I think he always had a good grasp of where the darkseeker saga was headed, it just wasn't executed all that cleanly, though I think KH3 Remind fixes this by being way more upfront and honest with its foreshadowing.

I've been thinking on and off about writing some serious commentary on my opinions on KH, II, and BBS reinterpreted as the "true" Dark Seeker saga, hinging on the last Agonal breath of one man's obsession with darkness and survival, but the biggest hurdle is that I never managed to do any big creative writing projects growing up as a kid and for years I've been a bit terrified of the idea of exposing myself creatively to other people over fear of being ridiculed. I'm not exactly sure how to get over that, but I want to because I think I can make a strong argument that Xehanort's story is at it's absolute best starting at BBS with an allowance for DR as a post saga origin and ending at II.I think that Xehanort's story is the most impactful when a bitter, maniacal old man ruins the lives of so many of the next generation simply because he is clinging too desperately to the pathetic continued existence he has made for himself. He's so terrified of dying that he body snatches his war buddy's son just to avoid it a little longer until he can do whatever he really wants to do with Kingdom Hearts. He gets curb stomped and loses his memories just to feel that ache to explore the darkness from beyond the amnesia, and he's so desperate to toy with the darkness that it takes everything from him. It takes his heart, and it takes his body until he is just a pair of husks worse than he ever was before. At least when he was Master Xehanort, his plan to summon Kingdom Hearts actually technically WORKED. He was closest to completing his goals in BBS as his original self. If we silo everything made from BBS and before, Xehanort gives up his real chance at Kingdom Hearts just to live a bastard life as Terranort, and bastard lives on top of bastard lives as Ansem and Xemnas.I DO want to write something up, but I'm a little intimidated by the effort involved in researching and putting it all down on paper, Desu.>>574731883>food analogy

Also and too imply lived experience, Sora is not the only one that took the "forbidden path". Also this works in so many ways, it doesn't undo the ending Xehanort got in KH3, it makes it to where the last time Sora meets Xehanort is the first time Xehanort meets Sora, it gives Young Xehanort more nuance in DDD, and especially KH3, it teaches Xehanort that following the light gets you no where (he sees Sora, who sacrificed everything and was erased from reality), and Young Xehanort in Dark Road has some things in common with Sora in KH3 (they both lost their friends and with this theory, they both abused the power of waking). As Japanese theorists state, the reason Young Xehanort has a broken umbrella in KH4 is he like Sora is vulnerable. Xehanort and Sora are like mirrors of each other, and that has been consistent throughout. We know Xehanort met the Master Of Masters in his youth; it's also possible that through the Master Of Masters he visited Quadratum.

But the original math was that KHX is like 270sh years before KH1 and ML is 170 years. So Luxu is old but not like thousands of years. There are a few lifetimes in there we don't know about though. MoM might be ancient af but who knows. No clear indication of how long ago it was when he was a boy and the Keyblade War began. But KHX while it was marketed as the beginning initially is really the end of the conflict or one end at least, the final battle of a long cold war.
