Pink basically all her attacks are fairly easy and readable once you've gone through it save for the first bombs and that really fucky attack that screws with your horizontal movement while having pink pelt you with bombs that make it hard to dodge. Like I dunno, balancing shit isn't me strong suit. It's why I'm not designing anything other than tabletop encounters lol.

It's weird, I just don't get the feeling that Deltarune is ending in 2 chapters. Not because I don't believe they can wrap up the story, there's plenty of time to answer every mystery. I feel like there's a big twist coming where there's more going on than we think and there's going to be at least an extra hidden chapter we have to find a way to hijack into. Even with his knowledge he still gets blindsided by stuff now and then, plus I feel like him having this much control goes against the idea of his character arc, which is all about feeling trapped. He does sometimes run ahead to try and make the heroes' job easier, as Ch4 showed us, but I don't think he can control absolutely everything. If he does, I'm struggling to find a satisfying way to tie that up to his arc without it feeling weak.

Hence it has to feel like a video game with a natural progression system. He's basically the DM that organizes the adventure and all the other darkners are actors. Dark world stats are completely fake, it's something Ralsei had preset on all the enemies except maybe the titans and secret bosses. That's why enemies run away at 0hp instead of getting knocked out/dying.Ralsei has developer abilities to change the game. He knows he can just break the rules and "win" if he wants to but that would kill the player's suspension of disbelief. The player still has to be engaged as if it's a real video game and he doesn't trust that we love everyone enough to push past that.

If he had as much control as you're suggesting then he'd just fix Flowery's fake stats instead of complaining about them. He's not a developer or even a modder, that would undermine his whole character arc. At most he's a cheater, like Kris. He does try to enforce the magic circle to keep things entertaining for the player, but he doesn't have that much power in doing so and doesn't really need to do it most of the time because those things come naturally to Darkners.
