I feel like when this is all over, on replays, Chapter 5 will feel really out of place. Just the entire thing is an OC dropping in out of nowhere to criticize/attempt to change the plot for the entire chapter. It really does feel like the story is frozen to do its own mary sue fanfic and I don't think it's as clever as the fanbase thinks dunno.
What are the implications of castle town's fountain being made of pure darkness? Is Ralsei made of pure darkness, is that why he is a prince from the dark? What does that mean, and who is the king?

Missing Asgore so badly while staying up into the night chipping away at extra reports a coworker suddenly quitting dumped me with after having promised I'd join him in bed soon only to find my business much more difficult than expected, but just as the longing to be in his embrace rather than here alone reaches its devastating peak I suddenly hear his paws softly approach our office doorway as he pokes his sleepy head in to offer some tea even despite my feeble insistence he should stay in bed (as he set the tray holding the kettle and two cups down while pulling over a chair to stay with me I felt such overwhelming gratefulness that I had to drag him into a hug so he wouldn't have to see me rapidly blinking away the prickle of tears). Valiantly holding an umbrella over Asgore's horns to keep him safe from the rain in hopes of protecting him from getting chilled by the icy water seeping into his fur, until eventually we arrive back at the house where he fulfills his promise of repaying the favor by manually drying me with a towel until he seems to give up on conventional dehydration methods as he casts the cloth aside and gently presses me against the bathroom wall with his body to let his toasty warmth dry me gradually (he took advantage of the convenient position to lay a few slow kisses along my neck and cheek... almost making me wonder if that was his plan in letting me protect him from the rain in the first place). Persisting that Asgore's muscles do indeed need to be massaged after a workout as we always do no matter how light it was until he finally relents with a knowing chuckle, but this time I surprise him with several tension-relieving techniques I researched online all week as I knead his major muscle groups so effectively that he actually takes my wrists to stop me as it's having an... unexpected side effect and we have too many errands to run for that kind of distraction at the moment (needless to say I abused my newfound abilities to great success)
