I fully believe they had GX's story planned for a long time, the only thing that changed was how they give it to us. Pretty sure GV2.5 was initially planned as a standalone game but due to various circumstances it ended up as DLC for Trilogy Enhanced using GV3 as a base (with hopefully at least some new levels mixed in)

Rolling Ripper is the best one from the perspective of just landing the last hit on enemies when flying and shit but the rest of them actually provide pretty good utility. Chopper lets you go straight up which is good movement on top of all the stuff it's known for since iX2 actually starts asking you to go straight up, Cryo Flash is Cryo Flash and doesn't really need elaboration, Doomsday Charge can be used to get through barriers in a couple stages very quickly and it gets double kudos on the flower enemies so you have to use it anyway, and Gatling Blitz is just a god tier speedrunning utility since it deletes anything in front of you. Least useful is probably Optic Barrier and it still has the use case of blocking some shots.

I like the idea of Cope. In a series where the the central theme is struggle for coexistence and individual identity in a world that fears and seeks to regulate superpowered humans, I think it is equally important to have some human representation.I don't like where they took the character though.
