If you're gonna be there long term like Iraq/Afghanistan then yeah you'd spend more time building defenses/security. But if it's something temporary you only need a minimum amount of equipment/staff I assume. Razer/Barbed wire fence is packed in rolls, you just unravel it and now you have a fence. The UNSC has an entire forerunner ring to set up a base, and there's a ton of forerunner structures already there for defense, so they don't even need to build or ship in any shelters. The Banished needed special lazers to dig through whatever that forerunner material is made of, there's no way the Covenant in CE was equipped for that since it's the first time they're seeing the ring, too. It wouldn't take much effort to set up a base in one of those structures. The only issue is the communication where the deeper you go, the worse signal you get, so if they're dug in deep, they might have bad signal. So you could run lines or set up relay stations at certain points within the structure to communicate inside and outside the structures, and then all the mobile units should be fine with just the radios or whatever they use.

Keyes and Johnson have new voice actors which sounds kinda hammy since they're trying to copy the original voice actors rather than then just trying to do their own thing which would have been better. Foehammer and the marines sounds the same but have some cut lines from the original reinstated so it doesn't sound out of place. A lot of the issues that people have with the game is because the old game is so ingrained in the brain for hardcore Halo fans so the whole game feels like a weird fever dream. I'd personally would rate it 7/10, better than anniversary but I agree with Jaime Griesemer take that it feels lika a high polished mod rather than a brand new game. Buy a 1 month gamepass subscription and play though it a couple of times and then forget about it. Bonus missions were pretty meh

That being that a true Halo game is a campaign experience first and foremost.I would have been perfectly fine with the CE remake having firefight or some other PvE mode as its "multiplayer" offering for this reason, but it was never necessary.Halo CE/1 had multiplayer thrown in the game in the last few months of development for the same reason any multiplayer was in a console game at the time, it was just expected to be there. The campaign WAS the game, and the multiplayer was extra. Now, it did turn out to be really good and pretty addicting, but it's important to understand that this existed in mostly a party game atmosphere. Yes, there were comp tournaments, but they are not representative of the average Halo CE multiplayer session.Halo 2, or really rather Xbox Live, changed this, and set this unrealistic standard of Halo multiplayer being the face of the series. It was never meant to last, but it stuck, even as CoD 4 and onwards drained the popularity 3 years later.tl;drRegardless of what you think about Campaign Evolved's overall quality, a PVE-only game was sorely needed at this point to correct this wrongdoing and artificial ballooning of Halo's multiplayer to be its core identity.

I regret waiting for this demake to get into Halo. I could have finished 1/2/3 by now.Literally the only thing I like from this demake, besides the graphics which I find very good honestly, is the far better AR accuracy and power, it's so much better. Halo 1 MCC is such a bad feeling game whenever I use this AR that can't hit anything for shit and has the power of a water gun. Unfortunately it's the coolest weapon and I hate the alien guns so most of the time I have to deal with itThis is the only reason I'm not quite sure if I should uninstall this shit and go back to the original or keep playing the broken demake.
