The thing about the egg quests is they're another example of really ingenious game design on the part of the monhun devs. Not only are you learning how to navigate the map efficiently but you're also learning one of the most important skills in monhun (luring). By putting the player in a situation where they can't use their weapon and they can't dodge, they force the player to learn to attract the attention of the monsters and redirect them which is a very important skill in combat. The issue once again being that most players don't use their brains so they just stumble through these quests without learning the necessary skills and then they complain about bad game design because they're shit. It's really a sad story endlessly repeating. Anyway I suspect this is why they no longer do egg quests really because most players have already learned the skill or they're new and likely lost causes so you can just introduce crutch mechanics and extra carts to get them along
